YOSEMITE

Yosemite National Park was ridiculously fun. We camped with a group of people from all over the world. At our campfire at night we talked with people from England, Spain, Germany, Canada, Columbia, Norway, and we were the only Americans (except Carlos is from Brazil). The picture below is of Vernal Falls. Wally, Andrew Green, Alex Green, Carlos, Trevor.

Our main activity was rock climbing. The place is surrounded by rock walls well over 1000 feet.
Somehow when Trevor was sleeping someone wrote something with a permanent marker on his face. He walked around the camp for several hours before anyone told him.
We decided to leave our mark on an 700 year old tree

Yosemite has the most picturesque views. Too bad they are sometimes ruined by freakish looking orangutans.

Trevor loves to catch animals. This is actually a homemade trap to catch squirrels. Surprisingly he only had to have 3 rabies shots this trip.
Just to the right of this climbing wall there is a crack in the rock where you can hear bats squeaking. Around 8:00 o clock this night, hundreds of bats poured out of a hole about 10 feet away from us. It was crazy, just like it was right out of a movie.

We went to Tuolumne meadows for some more rock climbing. Incredible.

I had to take a 15 minute nap on the drive there. Carlos decided to start walking until I picked him up. I can just imagine someone driving by this kid with no shoes or shirt on wearing a circus hat with a propeller on top in the middle of nowhere in 95 degree temperatures.

Its weird, we were the only ones taking pictures by this huge fallen tree.
We found this water slide above Vernal Falls. The water current was very strong but only a few inches deep on this huge flat rock. This was the coolest part of the trip.

Did you go with more than just the boys? I thought you went with Shawn and Emer and all them? hm...

Walls,
It looks freakishly fun! I'm bummed we missed out on mancamp this year. The anticipation will make the next one all the better. The boys look like they should be on missions already. Sweet.
